What is Naturopathic Medicine?

Naturopathic Doctors combine the wisdom of nature with the rigors of modern science. Steeped in traditional healing methods, principles and practices, naturopathic medicine focuses on holistic, proactive prevention and comprehensive diagnosis and treatment. By using protocols that minimize the risk of harm, naturopathic physicians help facilitate the body's inherent ability to restore and maintain optimal health. It is the naturopathic doctor's role to identify and remove barriers to good health by helping create a healing environment, both internally and externally.

What is Anthroposophic Medicine?

Anthroposophic medicine is a holistic and human-centered approach to medicine. It recognizes and uses modern medicine’s vast information and rigorous methodology.  Then it goes further, adding knowledge of the laws of the living organism, the psyche, and the spirit. This knowledge is derived from a spiritual-scientific methodology, which expands on the conventional scientific method. It requires—besides the ongoing professional, personal, and moral development required of every true physician—an active meditative life. This inner activity leads to a deepened capacity for understanding the whole human being. This meditative journey is outlined by Rudolf Steiner.

The result is an integrated image of the whole human being in illness and health.  This makes possible a holistic and rational approach to physiology, pathology, and therapy.

What is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy?

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle and subtle whole-body approach to the human experience. It is an effective form of treatment for a wide range of illnesses and conditions.  The treatment is focused on supporting the health of the whole being, especially the nervous system.  This is the system that dictates all of the body’s functioning, constantly sending and receiving information.  This hands-on therapy is non-manipulative and non-invasive.  The practitioner is trained to sense different levels of stillness and thus palpate the expression of the system as the treatment unfolds, according to its own ordering principle. The inter-connections of mind, body and spirit are deeply acknowledged.

It is suitable for people of all ages including babies, children and the elderly, and can be effective in acute or chronic cases.
